Welcome to the Eastern Colorado Repeater Association (ECRA)
ECRA is a 100% transparent and fully inclusive association consisting of licensed Amateur Radio operators, unlicensed individuals, collaborating entities, and community members. From its inception, the founding members recognized the potential challenges ahead but were steadfast in commitment to create something novel and insisted that ECRA would NOT become a "Good-ole-boy" club. Period.
We are all too aware that toxic mentalities and egos can surface, even within the realm of Amateur Radio sadly. However, that is not the approach we embrace here at ECRA. Our mission focuses on the people, the communities, and the travelers of Colorado—free from hidden agendas and bureaucratic nonsense.
ECRA warmly welcomes like-minded individuals, clubs, organizations, and entities. We share common goals and passions, including the enjoyment of the technical aspects and challenges that repeater systems present.
Our board is fully committed to serving the membership, the people, and our mission and goals. While we are still, “getting started”, we conduct monthly membership meetings (and often more), host in-person gatherings, and organize 'workdays'—there is much to be done.
We place a strong emphasis on communication, teamwork, and safety as vital components of our operations. Our diverse backgrounds and professions unite us in this endeavor.
If you are interested in becoming a part of ECRA, please reach out anytime at info@ecra-coloradohamradio.org.
We look forward to meeting you and working together to accomplish great things!
